I love envirosax.

I love them so much that I have to stop myself from getting the new ones each time they come out with a new style. The latest, La Boheme, is so stunning that I have to think of people to give my old ones to so I can get new ones without feeling guilty. I love having them in my car, purse, and closet. They are just the best bag for almost every job and completely washable. They are too pretty to have just one, but for now, I'm trying not to have too many!

These are the coolest necklaces I've seen in a while, and they're going to be huge this fall! I'm starting to see them everywhere. I can't wait to get some in the store. They are perfect for a plain tank and a pair of jeans, or a dress. This necklace makes the whole outfit. I love a piece of jewelry that can stand alone. They hold about twice as much as a plastic bag and can be carried on your shoulder so they're great for an all day shopping trip. Strong and easy to wash, perfect for the Farmer's Market or taking toys to Grandma's house. I keep finding great uses for them!

We had a wonderful turnout for the Hephzibah fundraiser. It was a fun night. Models wore pajamas from Knickers and accessories from Georgia Rae. Everyone was greeted with a glass of Champagne and delicious appetizers followed by dinner and of course, desert! Thanks to everyone involved and everyone who came to enjoy the night. I've been making silver jewelry since I was about 12 years old. It's all I've really worked with, but recently I've been seeing some really beautiful gold jewelry. It caught my eye and piqued my interest, so I ordered some gold filled supplies-gold filled is a metal with gold throughout so it doesn't wear off like a plate- and started working on some gold jewelry.

I'm bringing my style and designs from silver over into gold. It's so exciting to see what stones look great in gold. It adds a whole new warmer look to my collection and I've been really happy with the results. I hope you like them too!

Madonnari on Main was a really great event. Thanks to Tracy and Carole, and everyone who made it possible. It was a great chance for people to express themselves. Patricia Peixoto, Elisa, Singley, and Barb Levin are all pictured in various stages of creating their art. It was such a hot day I don't know how they managed to finish the work, but they did and it was great. All three said they had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again next year. Watch for it next year, it really was a sight. There were 50 or 60 kids creations that were wonderful as well. We can't wait for next year!!

All three of Georgia Rae's featured artists will be doing street painting at Madonnari on Main in Glen Ellyn this year! Please stop by and check out this event.

Saturday, August 23rd from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Main Street will be closed in Glen Ellyn between Hillside and Duane for Madonnari on main. Artists from all over will recreate an original piece from their collections in chalk on the street. There will be shuttle buses from Madonnari on Main to the Festival of the Arts at Lake Ellyn.

I was born in São Paulo, Brazil. My first steps were drawing and watercolors. Later I got into costume design and graphic arts, working in São Paulo’s theater and in advertising companies. We've started getting in our "transitional" pieces to go into fall. Can you believe it? Before we know it, it'll be time to go back to school!

Latico has some really great new colors and shapes. The Bettina bag in flame is pictured below. Flame, a rich burnt red-orange, is a new color for Latico and is one of my favorites. Perfect for Late Summer/Early Fall.

We've also just picked up a new line of bags, called Bobo Bags from California they use a beautiful Italian leather. Click here to read about the founder and the company. Bobo is an impressive mid priced high quality classic bag. The bag pictured below is the East West Satchel and we also have it in black patent leather.

We just got in some fabulous new clutches and wallets. The Dolce slim clutch (pictured above) is the cutest little clutch I've seen in a while. Lodis uses Italian Leather. The Sorrento Checkbook Cutch is so soft, you have to touch it to believe it! We have it in three great colors, Celery (green-gold pictured), Ochre (yellow-gold) and Black-gold.

Back from L.A. Market and Brighte Accessories Show

What a great show! I met my mom and sister in L.A. to shop since they have a store in California. There were tons of showrooms to visit. We've got lots of new things coming soon. I ordered from some new companies, like:

Bellissima Jewelry Design by Sarah Bridger

Yesterday I placed an order with Bellissima Jewelry Design by Sarah Bridger. I'm expecting a box from her in about a week and a half. Sarah makes everything to order by hand. She graduated from Valparaiso University before moving to Colorado where she currently lives.

Sarah's designs are very unique. She uses a combination of Gemstones, Vintage pieces, and Swarovski Crystals. The piece pictured is "Champagne" made of Freshwater Pearls, Picture Jasper, and Laser Cut Mother of Pearl. The Clasp is Sterling Silver. When you see her designs, you'll be immediately hooked. She has a large following in my store already! Sarah and I have already talked about a Meet the Artist event when she's in town next.
