Madonnari on Main 2008

All three of Georgia Rae's featured artists will be doing street painting at Madonnari on Main in Glen Ellyn this year! Please stop by and check out this event.

Saturday, August 23rd from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Main Street will be closed in Glen Ellyn between Hillside and Duane for Madonnari on main. Artists from all over will recreate an original piece from their collections in chalk on the street. There will be shuttle buses from Madonnari on Main to the Festival of the Arts at Lake Ellyn.

I create painting, collage, painted bowls, and usable art.

I was born in São Paulo, Brazil. My first steps were drawing and watercolors. Later I got into costume design and graphic arts, working in São Paulo’s theater and in advertising companies. Since moving to Chicago in 1997, I have worked in a lot of different media, including collage, dolls Photographs, decorative art, wearing art and acrylic paintings.

I have been showing my art at several art spaces like, Galeria de Mexico in Chicago, Evanston Art Center, Friends of the Art Space, University of Chicago, Maria Pappas Office, restaurants and Numerous Art Fairs throughout The Chicago area.

Barb also uses different medium, she creates multimedia collages, and paints.

and Elisa Singley

Elisa paints on glass with ceramic and glass paint and creates colored pencil art. Below is one of her paintings on a vintage window.

Summer's almost over!

We've started getting in our "transitional" pieces to go into fall. Can you believe it? Before we know it, it'll be time to go back to school!

Latico has some really great new colors and shapes. The Bettina bag in flame is pictured below. Flame, a rich burnt red-orange, is a new color for Latico and is one of my favorites. Perfect for Late Summer/Early Fall.

We've also just picked up a new line of bags, called Bobo Bags from California they use a beautiful Italian leather. Click here to read about the founder and the company. Bobo is an impressive mid priced high quality classic bag. The bag pictured below is the East West Satchel and we also have it in black patent leather.
